The Heat is Coming...

With temps in the high 80s and low 90s, we're spending more time inside. Saucy usually cuddles with me while I read...

... and Remy is constantly on the move as Katelyn tosses mice onto his tower.

Vet Visit

Saucy in the car. We woke her up so she's still groggy!

Our vet appointment went well.   Saucy's eye is healing but not as quickly as Dr. Lana would like it to.  We will continue the drops through the week and Dr. Lana would like to see Saucy again next Monday. There was no charge for the eye check.

 On a related note, Saucy ate about 12 cookies while we were there.  Those ladies cannot resist her!

Oh, what fun it is to be at the vet!

When we got home, I read my book with Saucy on my lap while Katelyn and Remy played fetch with the fake mice. Katelyn threw and Remy attacked. He didn't actually fetch them, but it was fun to see him run or climb at top speeds.

Day One!

Katelyn and I visited Remy and Saucy at 2:00 today for our first play date. Saucy was as friendly as ever, greeting us with a wiggle and a tongue-wagging. Remy enjoyed playing with Katelyn and got up to an interesting trick: he hid inside your bed's box spring! Katelyn panicked, calling out, "He's stuck in the mattress! Help!" Needless to say, he was not stuck, simply lounging and purring in the box spring until a toy mouse coaxed him out.

We went back at 6:30 for dinner. I walked Saucy afterwards while Remy and Kate played with the tower and the mice. Saucy has gotten her drops twice today and is on schedule. We'll be back at bedtime!
